Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

Week 7

Willow Class have continued to be the best version of themselves this week! They have throughly enjoyed our drawing club text of Kitchen Disco! They have used the text to draw imaginative pictures and many are beginning to use their phonic knowledge to sound out simple words to go alongside their pictures. Our afternoon text this week has been 'Oliver's Vegetables'. The children have been identifying foods that are healthy and those that we have for a treat. We have explored different kinds of vegetables and then we used them to make soup. We all tried to the soup and voted to see how many liked it and how many didn't! It is lovely to hear them voicing their opinions and justifying their thoughts.

In RE this week we learn that we are the most precious thing that God has made and they are very special. We thought about things that make us unique and learn a new song called, 'God made me special'.

In maths we have comparing groups. We have used the language of 'fewer than' and 'more than' when comparing groups of objects of different amounts.
