Week 4

Well done Willow on another busy week of learning. This week our afternoon text was called, 'Love our Earth'. we had a brilliant discussion all about how we can look after our world, living out one of our school values of stewardship.

In Drawing club we read 'Bee and me' which is a lovely story which the children really enjoyed. Our drawings are getting much more detailed now and it is lovely to hear the children describing their pictures and using the vocabulary that we introduce to them each week. Our drawing club books ('Adventure books') are available to be viewed with your child during Thumbs Up Thursday every other week.

On Wednesday afternoon we had the opportunity to meet the rest of our house group. At St Paul's, children are assigned a house group (St Bernadette, St Teresa, St Vincent or St Francis) which they stay in until they leave in year 6. When they earn house points in class they go towards their house groups total for the half term. At the end of every half term the winning house is announced in assembly! In their house groups this week they designed their poster for the hall and had the opportunity to get to know other children from other classes that are in the same house. It was lovely to hear the cooperation and team spirit from each of the groups!

In RE this week we heard the story of creation from Genesis and drew our favourite part of Gods wonderful world
