Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

Communication and language

We acted out how the characters in the Gruffalo might be feeling at different parts of the story. We used our facial expressions to show their feelings.

We acted out the Gruffalo story as part of our “Once upon a Gruffalo” topic.

With Jingle we created a dialogue between us to show what jobs we were acting out.

When we introduced our new talk 4 writing story the children had to find the clues and work out who the character was. The children in their discover and do sessions independently made clues for their friends in the outside area.

We used the story bag to choose an object to tell a story about and recorded our stories on the sound mats.
