Spellings

Please test your child on the spellings set before the holidays and set them a new set of spellings to practise. Remember to carry on practising any spellings you have struggled with previously. If you want your child to have an extra challenge use the words from the spelling lists in sentences.

Maths

For the next few weeks the new unit of work for maths is multiplication and division. The first lesson focuses on counting in 10’s. Please complete lesson 1 of the PowerPoint presentation and then download the worksheets. There are three worksheets of different ability (shown by the number of stars). Choose the worksheet which you think is best suited to your child. There is an additional worksheet which involves colouring counting in 10’s if you want extra work to complete.

Over the last few weeks you may have noticed some signs of Spring outside your window. Have a look at the signs of spring power point and then have a look outside or venture into the garden and see what signs of spring you can spot. Draw or paint a picture of some of the signs of spring you can see. It might be some flowers you can see, buds on the trees or a bird you can see.
