Oh my goodness; these video pictures are giving me a very surprised look on my face! And I think that I am surprised at the amazing work that keeps coming in. I think we need to start with some straight away. smiley Also, seeing as we are talking about habitats I thought I had best say that pandas (my reference to my smudged eyes) are not naturally found in Australia. I had a vision of koala bears!!!! Pandas are usually in China; Koala bears in Australia. Although I've just googled 'Pandas in Australia' and there are apparently 2 so I must have looked like one of those!!!winkIf you would like to follow the Chester Zoo virtual day throughout the day the link is under our afternoon activities further down the page! yes

Some super work!

I hope you have your character strength badge on or hanging somewhere to remind you of how well you are doing? Here is Alanna's ro remind you!

Look at your writing on these wonderful postcards which show me that you understand the differences between Lila's life and your own..

I have loved seeing your animal illustrations and reading your facts...

Do keep all of your fabulous work safe; I would love to make an African/ Kenyan display when we get back to school. Hopefully as soon as possible!smileyheart

We have also loved seeing your feeling pictures. Here is Joseph feeling very energetic!

Here is Ken... from Kenya (an inspired name choice Xavier) please keep him safe too. What a fabulous Maasai warrier. I hope he doesn't jump away!

And finally (for now) I feel as though I have visited an art gallery (even though they are currently closed!) These African Safari sunset pictures are out of this world! We await William's... he is starting work on his as are many of the children in school!

I LOVE your dress Zari. I think I need to look for one myself! smiley

Just one more! What a great Zoom! It is so lovely to see you all. Well done for joining us!

Wow! I could share your work ALL day long. You are all superstars and make Mrs Rogers and I so proud. smileyheartsmileyheart

Our Religion Work - The Boy in the Temple

Today we will learn about how Jesus was lost but then found in the temple. We will recreate the scene and reflect on the feelings on Mary and Joseph when he was lost and then found.

What do you think is happening in this picture?

What can you see in the picture?

Who do you think the characters are?

Who is the boy?

Who are the figures in the background?

Let's listen to the story...

Our Maths Learning Today

Year 1

Today you will be looking at sets of tens and ones; we call these our base 10 units. You might like to use objects from your house to help you. Maybe pencils could be rods of 10 and little sweets, beads or lego blocks your ones!

Your worksheet for today...

Year 2

Today you will be sharing or dividing sets of objects into groups of 5. I think these get a little tricky from question 4 onwards so I would suggest that you have some physical objects to group. Sweets, counters, beads, lego blocks etc...

Spr2.4.3 - Divide by 5

My Maths - I will set an activity but this does not have to be done today.Remember I have said to have an easier day today.  I will set a maths time next week when you can catch up on My Maths. I also know however that some of you love to log on and complete your challenges. smiley

Our afternoon activities

This afternoon I would like you to make some time to do something that will benefit your mental health. This could be a hobby, completing or doing your own creative task, heading out for some exercise or joining in with Joe or the PAS links below.

You might like to do one of the 'Happy' activities I talked about in my video this morning.

Also remember that the Chester Zoo virtual day is on. Follow the link to see live events and also videos of previous virtual visits. What more can you learn about African animals or animal habitats?smiley Scroll down the page for you tube and Facebook links or watch pre recorded videos!

Enjoy your day and well done again for all of your hard work. I thought I would end with a story...(and one more video!)
