Surrealism - Playing around with Juxtaposition

Our work on symbolism portraits is continuing nicely, with pupils now thinking about colour and how this can also express our personalities. Some chose their favourite colours, while some chose colour to represent emotions or objects. Are you able to identify anyone yet?

In Art we learned that artist Frida Kahlo created portraits that communicated her passions and interests. She used bright colours, symbolism and big shapes. We linked her work to thinking about our inner selves and started to sketch a self-portrait of our inner and outer selves.
