Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero
Good morning Galileo class and parents!
I hope you had another great day yesterday. Today you have some English, Maths and Art activities to complete. Don't forget to start your day by doing some exercise with Joe Wicks, it's a great way to start the day .
Today's plan:
Phonics and reading
Please watch the Set 3 Speed Sounds lesson for today, it's good to keep reviewing your sounds and complete the spellings part of the lesson too. This starts at 10.30 but is available to watch for 24 hours so choose a different time to watch if you prefer.
Speed Sounds lesson can be found at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo7fbLgY2oA_cFCIg9GdxtQ/featured
I would also like you to think about the story 'Traction Man is Here' today and create a book review for this story. The link for the story will be found below and you will also find a template for a book review which you can use. If you prefer you can think of your own questions and answers for the book review and record in your home learning book, whichever you prefer. You will also find a check list which can used to help you think about what should be included in your writing.
Please share your reviews with Mrs Davies and I either via the Galileo email address of class blog. We look forward to reading them.
Maths
The maths lesson today focuses finding a quarter. Please complete lesson 1 of the PowerPoint presentation and then complete the worksheet in your home learning pack titled 'Find a quarter'. If you want additional challenge you will find the full set of worksheets below. Once you have completed the worksheet why not play the game 'Find a quarter'.
Art
Today I would like you to think about the story of Traction Man and be creative! I know last week you had the challenge of creating a costume for an action figure. Today I have a few different activities for you to consider doing. Choose as many activities as you like:
Please share your creative work with us either by email or the Galileo blog. We love it when you share your work and we miss seeing you each week.
Have a fun day.
