Monday 8th June

Good morning! We hope you've had a lovely weekend! We are so impressed with how hard everyone is working on their home learning challenges! We have some new challenges for you this week and as always we really love to see the photos and observations of your work - they really make us smile as we are missing everyone lots!

If you are wanting some extra challenges our 'afternoon activities' page is available on the link at the bottom of this page!

We hope you enjoy today's story time as we have another story from a mystery reader - so enjoy!

Have a great day! smiley

If you would like to start your day with a song please follow the link below as Mrs Smith and her fabulous family have recorded a song to start our day!

Phonics and reading

Please continue to join the Read write inc lessons following the link. All the lessons are now available from 9.30 am each morning. You might want to complete the spelling lesson too.

There are also some lessons for reading longer words if your child is becoming confident with set 3 sounds they might like to have a go at this lesson or there are some lessons for teaching the 'red' or tricky words which would be a great extra activity for practising those tricky words.

This week we have chosen a read write inc non-fiction book for you to read called 'What is it?' Please remember to read the sounds, Green Words and Red Words before reading the book.  If this book is too tricky you can choose one of the red or green books. As today is the first time you are reading this book it will involve lots of sounding out of the words. When you have read it have a go at answering the questions at the end of the book - there is no need to write your answers down they are meant to be discussed! Have fun reading!

Maths activity
