Wednesday 1st July

Good morning and welcome to another 'Wonderful Wednesday'. Please follow the link below to view today's Wednesday word celebration.

St Paul's has got talent!

It's usually about this time of year when we are all getting excited about the prospect of the St. Paul's got Talent! This year we would still love to celebrate the fabulous talents of our school! If you would like to take part please can you either film a short video up to 30 seconds long or send a picture of your talent. As we can include pictures this year if you would like to show a piece of art or a model you have made this would be a great addition to some of the talents we normally see.  Please send your talent pictures and emails to Mrs Smith on her class address  keller@stpauls.cheshire.sch.uk

We look forward to seeing your talent!! smiley

Phonics

Please continue to join the Read write inc lessons following the link. All the lessons are now available from 9.30 am each morning. You might want to complete the spelling lesson too.

There are also some lessons for reading longer words if your child is becoming confident with set 3 sounds they might like to have a go at this lesson or there are some lessons for teaching the 'red' or tricky words which would be a great extra activity for practising those tricky words.

Reading

Today we are going to read 'Tom's tricks' again. Please remember to read the sounds, Green Words and Red Words before reading the book.  If this book is too tricky you can choose one of the red or green books. As today is the second time you are reading this book it will hopefully be a little easier and we can concentrate on reading more fluently.

Tom had quite a few tricks in this story but I'm not sure his family enjoyed all of the tricks! wink When you have read the story again today I would like you to think of a magic trick and draw a picture of you performing the trick. Then write what happens in the trick! You could write it as instructions using some of our special time words 'first, next, after that' smiley

Maths

There is a new activity on the maths portal.
