Message about the Podcast activities from last week.

I know some of you really enjoyed the Podcast activities last week and they were FANTASTIC! However, I know that for some of you it was very difficult to join in at 9:30, when you'd get the most from the session.

For the next two weeks, you can choose whether to use the Podcasts (I will be online too taking screenshots of your contributions) or use the activities I'm posting here. Of course, you can do both if you want!

English

Over the next two weeks we will be working with a text called 'The Game'.  We will read a short story, do some reading activities and grammar work with it and after changing some of the ideas in the story, we will write our own.  This unit of work will take 2 weeks and each day new activities will be introduced.

Today:

LO: To read, respond and show understanding of a text.

The document below contains the whole of today's lesson for you to read yourself or for an adult to read to you. All of the activities and resources are included and you can print them out to write on, or read them from your device, doing any writing in your home learning book.

There are two links to the internet included in the booklet and to make it easier for you, I have linked them below.

This document tells you everything you need for today's activity and also has the resources needed.

Read the first page of the 'Reading Activities' lesson booklet and then watch this!

Read the section called 'Get Plotting' in the lesson booklet and then read the story.  You can play this recording of the story at the same time, but remember to stop the recording to make your prediction when asked in the lesson booklet.

Now, complete the rest of the booklet.

Maybe that's where all of our classroom spiders come from?

Maths:

Y5 LO: To add decimals with the same number of decimal places

Y6 LO: To calculate angles in spacial quadrilaterals - no protractor needed

You can choose which of the objectives you need to cover.

Click on the link and watch the video as it guides you through the questions on the sheet.

Mark your work!

Don't forget to email brunel@stpauls.cheshire.sch.uk if you have any questions, or ask your friends for help on the school blog! (If your blog login doesn't work, please email the address above, to let me know)
