Non fiction research and writing

This term our work will be based on Ancient Egypt. We will be reading the book 'Secrets of a Sun King' by Emma Carroll.

Mummification

In order to write well, we have to be able to talk well.
We practised giving instructions of how to mummify a body in preparation for writing a set of instructions!

Fronted Adverbials

We found out that adverbials answer the questions 'how?', 'where?', 'how often?' or 'when?'. We tried to come up with as many different adverbials that we could so that we can use them in our own writing. When adverbials phrases are used at the start of a sentence, they are called fronted adverbials.
