Easter Candles

We were exploring how we celebrate Easter and found out about Easter candles. We learnt what the different symbols mean and then made our own.

The Visit of the Three Wise Men

We responded to the story of the Three Wise Men through art. After looking at different styles of art depicting the visit of the the Three Kings, we each chose one aspect of the story which caught our imaginations.

Baptism

We have been learning about what happens at a baptism and about the promises that parents and Godparents make. We role played baptising some of our dolls and saying the words of the baptism service.

The Annunciation

As part of our topic about Mary, the mother of God, we learnt how the Angel Gabriel brought to Mary that she would have God's son Jesus. We found out that some of the words that the angel said are in the prayer, the Hail Mary.

We learned the prayer of the Hail Mary and also learned it in sign language by joining in with this lovely version of the prayer set to music.
