Set 2 speed sounds - today's sound is ow

Set 2 spellings

If you have already completed the Set 2 sounds please follow:

Red words 1 lesson  and  Hold a sentence 1 lesson. Do keep practising those set 2 sounds too.

Reading

Today we move onto to either a new ditty sheet or a new story in the red ditty book. Remember to sound out each word and you can support your child if they need help blending the sounds together to read each word. You can take turns with them to help them build up the stamina to read longer sentences.

As your reading challenge today I would like you to find a story book at home and see if you can find any of your tricky words in the book, or spot any of the letter sounds you have been learning. Once you have done this you could maybe use the picture in your book to tell one of your toys a story. I would love to see some videos of this. wink

Reception maths

Please watch session 1 of the video and have a go at the activity.

Year 1 maths

Please watch the video and pause to complete the worksheet. Today you are practising your subtraction skills by counting back.
