Tuesday 5th May

Good morning and well done for making your way to the Brunel Class Page for your Daily Activities.

Start your day with some PE.  You can join Joe Wicks or try something else...why not check this out!

Join in with Mad Lizzie and Big Fun and think yourself lucky that this was before you were born.

English:  The Podcast

Today, you can either join us on the Podcast, or continue your 'The Game' story.

If you haven't been doing 'The Game' story work, then follow the link below at 9:30 to join me and our regulars for the Pie Corbett writing Podcast.

You will need to go to 'Today's Show' to open the radio player, then go back to the main page for the day, to access the resources.  I've posted the video from a few weeks ago for anyone who needs it, but obviously you now need to select today's date.  Don't forget to comment down the bottom of the podcast page - I will reply - and let's see if we can get another shout out for St Paul's.

If you have been doing 'The Game' writing unit over the last two weeks, the time has come to plan your own story.  You've done little bits so far, but take a look at the document below to help you plan your story.  If you requested your second learning pack, then look at the Year 5 writing sheets, as it's in there.

Maths:  Y5/6 Multiplication or Y6 Fractions

Grid Method Week

For year 5 or Year 6.

If the Year 5 lesson yesterday was a pickle, or if you are just joining us, let's concentrate on the grid method for the rest of this week.  Each day I'll post a slightly harder series of questions.  The following day, I'll post the answers so you can mark your work.

Let's start with a video...

Year 5/6: Multiplication using the Grid Method TU x U and HTU x U

You will only need to watch up to: 2 minutes 12 seconds today

Now try these.

I'll post answers tomorrow.

Year 5/6:  Multiplication: If you were fine yesterday and you want to move on to some formal written multiplication, have a go at these:

Watch the video.

Complete the sheets.

Mark your work.

Year 6: Compare and order fractions

Watch the video.

Complete the sheet.

Mark your work.

Like last week, have a look at the ideas on the document and pick your own adventure!
