Communication and language

Re enacting stories they have heard in class, this week, Whatever Next!

Imaginative play drawing on their experience of stories. Listening and responding to each other.

Small world play, drawing on the book for ideas and using language introduced to them such as drawbridge and tower.

Sharing ideas and creating a duck home. Introducing a storyline into their play.

Developing storylines drawing on their experiences. Lovely to see relationships building.

Great communication whilst playing board games in Willow class.

We read ‘All are welcome here’ and looked carefully at the pictures. We discussed them with a friend and chatted about what we could see. We looked for similarities and differences in the pictures and our lives.

Plenty of opportunities for discussion during play. Turn taking, developing storylines and solving problems through our independent play!
