Science

Classifying animals into mammals, fish, birds, reptiles and amphibians

We went outside to move our bodies in different ways: stretching, squashing, twisting and bending. We then used play dough to see if we could change its shape by bending, stretching, twisting or squashing it. We then tested this with a range of other materials.

Traction Man needs to find the most absorbent paper towel to dry himself after an underwater adventure! We tested the absorbency of 5 different paper towels, making predictions and recording our results.

We passed around the feely bag to see if we could determine the object and the material it is made from. We then grouped objects that can be made from more than one material.

We looked at images of different materials and annotated what we thought they were and any words to describe them.
