THE WEDNESDAY WORD(S) THIS WEEK:

Share and Care - Growing in Goodness and Love

Children listed to part of a Gospel reading which remined us that Jesus was sometimes rejected from where he went and wasn't always made to feel welcome.

Children have been thinking about who 'welcomes' them and how it feels to receive a warm welcome from somebody.  We reminded each other that smiles don't cost anything and if we see someone without a smile, to give them one of ours!

We talked about how we can welcome Jesus’ call to become more like him. Perhaps we can: be kind and loving in our simple everyday words and actions; be peacemakers; be fair and generous with everyone we meet and we talked about how we can make visitors and new families feel especially welcome.
