Maths

Using multiplication and division to convert improper fractions and mixed numbers

Year 6 have been leaning about volume this week!

Year 5 have been focusing on formal written multiplication but also, along with year 6, have attended live Zoom lessons to improve their skills.

We are learning about statistics this term, reading and understanding data in charts, graphs and tables.

We have been learning about area and perimeter over the last few weeks - We know that perimeter is the distance around a shape and area is the measurement of the space inside a shape. To work out an area we multiply the length and width, splitting up any compound shapes to make it easier.

Fractions - this week we continued with our fractions work from before the holidays. We were surprised to be doing this at home!

We are continuing with our Maths Homework while we are learning at home- here are some of our 4-operations weekly homework and our times tables tests
