Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

Thursday 11th June

Good morning everyone! I hope you had a good day yesterday. Mrs Rogers, Mrs Tildsley, Mrs Tempest, Mrs Wadley and I have all been in our class having a BIG tidy up. We are preparing the classroom for those of you who are returning, but have taken the opportunity to have a clear out and to rearrange things a little. I might share some 'messy' pictures with you tomorrow, and then in a few days time, hopefully some clean, sparkly and amazingly tidy ones! In fact I might be like a secret spy today and take some videos to share with you tomorrow!  I think I could have stayed in bed all day today I feel so tired! If you don't hear from me tomorrow you will know I have fallen asleep in school!!! I hope you are full of beans?smiley

Your maths work is on this page, but our literacy work is on our 'Everybody week 9' page which you can follow the link below to find...

Maths

Today you are going to build on your learning from yesterday and learn how to describe position and turns. You will describe position using language such as; left, right, up and down. Today's task is practical and you will create routes. Follow the instructions on the worksheet to do this and also share the PowerPoint presentation lesson 2. Discuss the following questions:

Can you describe how this object has been turned?
What are the different directions in which this shape can be turned?
Can you describe how the shape can be moved back to its starting position?
Can you record the movement?

There's also an additional activity called 'Describe routes' if you fancy an extra challenge describing position and movement.

Our curriculum topic work...

Can be found following the link below. Luca will be attempting his geography work and science with Mr Davies this afternoon. cool I will let you know how they get on! Luca's seeds aren't growing yet, even with my magic 'flower power' to help them. How are yours doing? It would be lovely to see some photos on our blog or by email. I can then share them with your friends. The geography work has me very excited because St. Ives is where we hope to go on holiday in the summer. smiley

Have a wonderful day everyone. I'll be secretly filming later on!
