Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

Monday 13th July- Friday 17th July

As you can see from the big hands clapping loudly above we are so proud of each of you for keeping going with your home learning and as we reach the end of our topic - 'Walking through the jungle' we would like you to give your mums and dads and grown ups a HUGE clap to say thank you for helping you with all your learning activities! yes

We have some activities here for you to choose from there are some lessons to complete our topic work and also some fun summer activities! We hope you enjoy! smiley

Understanding the world - Identifying animals

This week to complete our investigation of animals we are going to be collecting some information about animals and then using this information to complete a table or a graph. Have a look at the presentation and then you can choose to either complete a survey of maybe your family - you could maybe phone a grandparent and ask for their choice too or you can go on a mini beast hunt and see which mini beasts you can find and then complete your table using this information.

Transition

At this time of year we would normally be doing lots of activities preparing for our next steps on our learning journey so we have added a power point below of a lovely story about a caterpillar who was a little nervous about the changes he faced. You might like to read it together with a grown up and discuss how you are feeling about either moving from Reception to Year 1 or from Year 1 to Year 2. There is also a worksheet if you would like to write down some of the things you would like to achieve next year and also a fun sheet remembering some of the fun things and times we have shared this year! smiley

As we are nearly at the summer holidays here are some fun summer themed activities you might like to have a go at!smiley

Outdoor activities

And lastly, as the sun is meant to be out this week, I have put a link to the National Trusts "Things to do before you're 11 3/4" . This is a great site that gives you loads of activities and ideas to do in the great outdoors, from rolling down hills to making nature crowns. Enjoy!
