Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero
Good Morning Drake Class! I hope you've had a lovely weekend and didn't get caught in too many showers of rain! This week we will continue with our home learning activities and you will find on our 'afternoon activities' page lots of great topic activities to complete including our 'sports day' challenges!
Phonics
Please continue to join the Read write inc lessons following the link. All the lessons are now available from 9.30 am each morning. You might want to complete the spelling lesson too.

There are also some lessons for reading longer words if your child is becoming confident with set 3 sounds they might like to have a go at this lesson or there are some lessons for teaching the 'red' or tricky words which would be a great extra activity for practising those tricky words. You will find that some of the lessons are repeating but it is still good to practise the sounds to keep them fresh in you head!
Reading
This week we are going to read another read write inc book called 'Tom's tricks' Please remember to read the sounds, Green Words and Red Words before reading the book. If this book is too tricky you can choose one of the red or green books. As today is the first time you are reading this book it will involve lots of sounding out of the words. When you have read it have a go at answering the questions at the end of the book - there is no need to write your answers down they are meant to be discussed! Have fun reading!
