Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

Week 5

We have had another lovely week in Willow Class. this week we have been using the book 'We all went on safari' to learn a little about African animals and where they live. They have really enjoyed joining in with this book as it has a lovely rhyming text and we have joined in with the Swahili counting that's in it! the children have also looked at the Kenyan artist Martin Bulinya. We have used his inspiration to create our own African artworks and they look really effective.

In RE this week we have heard and acted out the story of Jesus healing the man at the pool of Bethesda. We learnt how Jesus cared for those that were ill and we should try to do the same to follow in his footsteps.

Mrs Thornton and William's Grandad came in to be our mystery readers this week. We loved hearing you read a story to us, thank you both for giving up your time.

In fine motor Friday we made bread dough creatures as we have been reading Hooray for bread in our Drawing club sessions!
