Welcome to another week of our topic activities. We hope you are enjoying finding out about another country through this topic and once again this week we have a selection of activities for you to choose from over the week at a time that suits you. 

Understanding the world - Geography

This week we are looking at the weather in Kenya and the weather here in Poynton. Have a look at the powerpoint and then either print off the weather charts or you could draw your own and each day have a look at the weather in each place and draw the correct symbol. You can use the website link in the powerpoint to check the weather each day. We can then have a look to see how similiar and different the weather in each place is? 

Music

To continue our African theme, here is an musical story for you to enjoy. Listen very carefully and see if you can identify the animals and join in with the songs and rhythms in the story.

Understanding the World - Science

Have a look at my video below as we carry on learning about animals. Then choose from worksheet 1 or 2 depending on which level of challenge you fancy. Or an alternative to printing is you can draw a picture of some different types of mammals and label them. If you like you can also write a sentence (or a grown up could write it for you) describing the similarities and differences between them.

Art

This week we are looking at some African animal art. There is a power point to watch and then a choice of art activities to complete afterwards. I have included the templates if you wish to use them but I'm very happy if you decide to create your own without the templates!

PE

Here are a selection of activities you can choose from to keep you moving! 

PE with Joe is live Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am and a great way to start the day but also available on the youtube channel at other times.

PAS who work in school to provide an after school sports club have created some great lessons for us to practise different skills and get us moving - follow the link below or you can explore their page for different sessions.
