Mrs Armitage on Wheels

Our class book this week, linked to our theme of journeys, is Mrs Armitage on Wheels. What an amazing bike she designed! We have designed our own super bikes; thinking about who they would be for and what useful or humorous features they would have. We will be creating a descriptive piece of writing about them next week! 🙌

Read, Write Inc. Lessons

We love to learn the words for our books each week using Partner Practice. We teach each other the words and know to help and praise our partner for trying hard. We read the same book over three days so that we learn to read the book fluently and understand the story in lots of detail. We then take our book home so we can read it just like a teacher to our parents! We love to read in Beech class!

Our Firework Senses Poems and art work

We are bursting with pride over our Firework senses poems and art work. We have made wonderful word choices and used our get ready lines and correct letter formation to present them beautifully.

The Lonely Beast Wanted Posters

You will want 😉to peep inside our literacy books to see the wonderful verbs and adjectives Year 2 children used to create their 'Wanted Posters' to find a friend for  the lonely beast. Our Year 1 children are working so hard to write clear sentences using capital letters, full stops and their Fred fingers to sound out their words.

We have been super hard working writers. Our 'Kind Fish' have been swimming their way onto the classroom and corridor walls. Can you spot yours?smiley🌟
