Science

Animals including Humans- This term we have thought about the how living things belong to different groups such as mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians and fish. We have thought about how these animals grow up from babies into adults and what different changes occur. As scientist we discussed what we would need to survive on an expedition to Mars and what things are important in keeping us healthy and alive. We finished off the unit by making healthy pizzas and identifying what food groups we need to consume to maintain a 'balanced diet'.

Seasonal Change- This term Beech class have been learning all about the different seasons and the effect that has on the weather, humans and animals. We have classified a suitcase of Mrs Luff's holiday clothes and we thought about what type of holiday she might be going on. We made observations of the local environment by going on an Autumnal walk. We even wrote our own weather reports!
