Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

Maths Y1

We doubled numbers to 20 using counters and numbers lines to help us. We then wrote the associated number sentence.

We practised telling the time using the digital clock and matching it to the analogue clock times.

We have been adding 2 and 3 coins. We worked together to find the total.

We used the numicon to practise our number bonds to 10.

We used the hundred square to count in tens

The year 1 children sorted shapes according to their properties. They thought of their own criteria to sort them.

Identifying odd and even numbers. We tested our thoughts by putting socks together in pairs, if they made a complete pair it was even, if there was one left over it was odd!
