Wednesday 8th July

If you click below I have a link to the blogging page where Mrs Smith will have put on a link to 'The Wednesday Word' which is via Zoom today at 9.15.

Our Literacy Task

Is on our 'Everybody Week 13' page. Please follow the link below...

Our Maths Learning Today

We hope that you enjoying our new look maths  this week.smiley We are trying to make sure that you are all 'Year 2' ready by making sure you understand these important mathematical concepts. Today we continue to look  again at number and place value to 100 by comparing numbers and using our knowledge and understanding of what each number in a 2 digit number stands for to be able to say which number is 'greater than' > or less than <… or equal to =

We will see that 14 < 41 and so it is important that we read and understand the values of the tens and units; the place value of each digit...

Our 'Comparing' worksheet' for today... remember the questions get harder as you go, so see how far you can get. You can print out the sheet or ecord your answers in your green book...

Would you like to be the teacher today? Here are the answers so you can mark your work.

Our Afternoon Activity

If you would like to work alongside the Year 1 children in school then we will be drawing big flowers in the style of Georgia O'Keeffe. Head over to our topic page and scroll down to our art section to hear a story about her life and to see a video tutorial of how to copy her style! There are pictures of flowers for you to use too.

Have a wonderful day everyone!smiley
