RE - To understand how the Holy Spirit worked through the Apostles and to reflect on how the experience of the Apostles can help us.

So far you have explored life after Jesus was put to death. We have studied what happened at the Ascension and Pentecost and now understand how the Holy Spirit transformed the lives of the Apostles. After this, we focused on the Apostle Peter and how the Holy Spirit worked in and through him to perform miracles. Today we will be learning about what happened next in the early Christian community.

Work through the lesson I have prepared for you. Please think carefully when you are choosing from the bronze, silver or gold activities. Are you choosing an activity that challenges you enough?

Geography - Anywhere Island Project 2020 Week 4

So far you have:

Located your island

Drawn maps detailing human and physical geographical features

Created pieces of descriptive writing that bring these features to life

Developed your Island's National identity through designing a national flag and anthem that considers its' history, culture and traditions

Now, things are beginning to get interesting on your Island...click below to view this week's task.

PSHE/Geography - The Promise

For today's PSHE and Geography, I would like you to listen to and enjoy a story titled, ‘The Promise.’ I would then like you to reflect on the following:
• Think about the message being delivered and what we can learn from it.
• Think about how this book you might help you manage your Island? What promises you and your Islands’ people might make and keep.
• Think about how it links to last week's PSHE lesson about how one small action can create a difference.

Just a quick reminder to visit our 'Emotions and Mental Health Support' page (click on the link below.) Here you will find helpful resources that can help you look after your mental health and wellbeing during these unusual times. As you know next week is half term, so I thought I might challenge you to begin this '14 Day Wellbeing Challenge.' I hope some of these challenges will keep you busy and make you feel that little bit happier and more positive!

You can visit this page at any time - you just need to go to the 'Brunel Class Page,' scroll down and click on the star titled 'Emotions and Mental Health Support.' For a printable copy of today's '14 Day Wellbeing Challenge' click on the link below or have a go at finding our 'Emotions and Mental health Support' page.
