Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero
Good morning Angus and Pippa,
I hope that you are both well and not too poorly. I will put work on here for you each day that will closely mirror what your friends are doing in class. Just do what you can manage!
We will all miss you and will be thinking of you!
1) This morning we will do our usual Read, Write Inc session. Please practice your sound cards and spend some time reading. If you could do with new books let me know and I can leave them outside the school office or drop them in through your letter box!
2) We will then be doing our spelling quiz; perhaps mum or dad could test you on your spellings. I will email you your new ones this afternoon.
We will also be practicing our handwriting so I enclose some sheets for you to practice from. Practice any letters you find tricky. Challenge yourselves by using 'get ready lines too'; that means starting every letter from the line; where the curly caterpillar starts!
Give yourselves a break and then it is maths.
Angus - I've sent an email with a My Maths login and I have set two tasks.
Pippa - here is your teaching video and worksheet for today. Write on paper if you are unable to print!
This afternoon - Science
We are continuing to learn about the 4 seasons. Today we are revising our knowledge and thinking about the weather during each season.
Try this quiz to test your knowledge so far...
I have challenged the children to draw themselves in appropriate clothing and to then stick themselves on each picture. Remember to label the season too. Please then draw a picture illustrating your favourite season and write a sentence about why it is your favourite.
Then, each morning we are going to complete a weather report and measure the temperature outside. Here is the recording sheet; draw the weather symbol each day and if you can record the outside temperature put that in too!
Finally, one more quiz! Watch the video and comlete the activities underneath...
Good luck!
Lots of love,
Mrs Davies xxx
