Safer Internet Day

Today is Safer Internet Day, so there are various activities which focus on this topic. Parents, please do take some time to talk about keeping safe on the internet, check app permissions and know what your child is doing when they are online.

  • Watch the short introduction to Safer Internet Day 2021. The theme is 'An Internet we can Trust'.
  • There is a live lesson from BBC Teach at 11:00 which can be accessed via the link below.
  • At 1:30, there is a live assembly hosted by Liverpool FC. It is aimed more for years 5/6, but I'm sure some of you will be fine with it.
  • Head over to the BBC page for a video and information about ways we can communicate on the internet.
  • Play Interland by Google. A set of games to get you thinking. I have included links to Mindful Mountain and Kingdom, which are most appropriate, but there are others.

Maths

L.O. To measure and compare lengths using cm and mm.

You can work through the Oak Academy video to learn about measuring using mm and cm. Near the end, the teacher asks you to print off the screen. Instead of doing that, you can print out the sheet below which has objects to measure to the nearest mm. (If you don't have a printer, ask someone at home to draw a few different lines for you to measure accurately)

Once you have done that, you can write them out in order from the shortest to the longest.

RE

L.O. To know what happens at the Sacrament of Reconciliation

To finish our topic of Reconciliation, we will find out what happens at the Sacrament of Reconciliation. It is probably easiest to watch my loom of the presentation, but you can go through it yourself if you would like to. I've also put the video that I used below so you can watch it at you own pace and pause it if you want to. You can either create your own sheet similar to the one in the presentation, or use the one below.
