Class 1 Information

PE  - Our PE days are Monday and Thursday for Reception and Monday and Friday for Year 1. Please ensure a 'named' PE kit is in school on these days.

Water bottles - We try and encorage the children to drink plenty of water throughout the day and have water fountains and bottle filling stations available in school. Please send your child into school with a 'named' water bottle. This will be sent home each day to be washed and refilled.

Snack time - The children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 all recieve a piece of fruit every afternoon, however if you would like your child to have a morning snack at playtime please place their snack in their book bag each morning.

Outdoor play - 'Whatever the weather'we aim to make the most of our learning environment both indoors and outdoors. Therefore during the cold/ wet weather please ensure your child comes to school with a warm and waterproof coat. To try and avoid losing hats, scarfs and gloves please name all items of clothing. We regularly go on wellie walks to explore the seasonal changes to our outdoor environment and also like to enjoy 'splash play' so if you are able to, please provide your child with a pair of wellies that can be left in school. We also look forward to the warmer weather and like to make the most of it however sun hats are a must so please don't forget to provide one!
