World Book Day!
No, it's not today: don't worry! World Book Day is next Thursday (4th March) and we would love for you to dress up like you usually would do at school, so get your thinking caps on!

We will be doing some fun activities to celebrate the day, which you'll find out about nearer to the time, but just to get you started, there are some free audio books available on the WBD website for a limited time, so don't miss out!

English

L.O. To use a dictionary to find out the meaning of new words

Read or listen to 'The River' a poem by Valerie Bloom, using one of the links below. As you read, notice any words that you aren't sure of the meaning of. Write them in a table (there is one below, if you want). First, guess what you think it means, then use a dictionary to write down the actual definition.

Maths

L.O. To describe 3D shapes

Work through the powerpoint and watch the video to learn the words face, edge and vertex (vertices).

Then make some 3d shapes at home with any kind of modelling materials that you have and describe them. You can take pictures or draw what you have found.

Spanish

L.O. To say your nationality in Spanish

In this lesson, we will recap how to say our name and UK nationality. We will then discover the Spanish speaking countries and how to say our nationality from some of those.
