Have a quiet moment in your week and enjoy the Wednesday Word with your family.

English

L.O.   To write exciting sentences

Print out the board game below if you can. If not, you can use the board from on the screen. You'll just    have to remember which space you land on.  You can play with someone else or by yourself. Keep track of how many points you score and post them to share and compare!

Start with the sentence:

After he ate his dinner, the boy played in the park.

On each turn, you have to follow the instructions  on the board.  The number in the red circle is the number of points that you score if you have followed the instruction properly!

Let us know what sentence that you end up with!

If you want to play again, use this sentence to start with:

Running down the road, the farmer chased the donkey.

Zoom!

Join me at 11:00 for a few games and a chance to see your friends! The details are on my blog.

Maths

L.O.  To solve a mathematical puzzle

Watch the episode of Odd Squad. Miss O has set you a challenge. You need to stop Symmetric Al  from  finding you and stealing your symmetrical items! Search around your house or your room and find some symmetrical items. What could you do to make them asymmetrical (not symmetrical)? Maybe add a decoration on them?   (Don't do anything that you can't undo later!)

(If you want to see the whole plan, look at the  document called Odd Squad Symmetrical Al Case. There are other resources in there to print out if you want to get into the whole Odd Squad feel!)

L.O. To learn about the  life of St. Paul

As you know, we all go to St. Paul's school, but how much do you actually know about him? Watch the video below to find out about the life of St. Paul.

In your yellow book, write 3 extracts from a  diary  imagining  that you were St. Paul. One entry from when he persecuted the Christians, one from the day when he  met Jesus on the road to Damascus and one from later in his life.  Make sure that you show how Paul's life changed after meeting Jesus.
