Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

Thursday 21st May

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all well. You will be pleased to know that I survived the day in our classroom behind the curtain yesterday! winkMrsWadley was in there with me! We need to clear all of the surfaces in the classroom to keep everywhere clean so Mrs Rogers and I are having a BIG clear out. It's looking a little messy at the moment but it will be tidy again soon. It was a very HOT day. I would much rather have been in one of your gardens or paddling pools. Miss Johnson was cooling herself down with the gardening hose pipe!smiley

It is the Feast of the Ascension today and so you may like to at the final  minute of the 'Miracle Maker' film where you see Jesus reminding his disciples that he is returning to his Father in heaven and asking his disciples to take his love around the world and to help others to follow Jesus' example.

Start from 1 min 30 seconds or you will be back at the Good Friday scene... or watch it all if you fancy!

As our prayer today you may wish to sing this song to remind you that Jesus is always with us. I do miss hearing your beautiful singing. You will have to sing it so amazingly that it reaches my house. I will keep my windows open!laugh

Our Literacy Activity - Writing

I think this will be a fun and funny task today because you are going to rewrite the introduction to 'Where The Wild Things Are'... but not with Max... with you!

My video below will hopefully explain this...

Below is my scaffold which will hopefully guide you through how to use your plan from yesterday. There is scope to add as much detail as you like or you can keep it simple. If you are brave enough you could read it out like an author and send me a little video of you reading your story introduction. I would LOVE that. heart I am really missing not seeing you all in school. If you do this and are happy for me to post it onto our class page tomorrow please would your mum and dad email it to me and let me know if you are happy for me to share it with the class. Don't worry if you are feeling shy; I don't think I will be able to convince Luca... but I will try! Good luck and have fun with this. smiley
