English

L.O. To spell   words accurately

There is a new set of statutory words to learn for the remainder of the term, and a set of words   for the next few weeks. Some of these words contain the letter y which makes an i sound. Some of them are homophones: words which sound the same but are spelt differently and have different meanings.

Make a new pocket in your red book to store them in and do a few of the spelling activities from the front of the book.

Below each set, there is also a link to the spelling game pages.

Maths

L.O. To identify Parallel and Perpendicular lines

Watch the video below to find out about parallel and perpendicular lines (don't worry about the other types of angles for now  - we will do those soon).  Then you can complete the sheet below.

Lego is  great for   learning about parallel and perpendicular lines. See if  you can make both examples using Lego. How creative can you be? See if you can make a whole board full and identify parallel and perpendicular. Can you spot them on my example?
