CHILDREN'S MENTAL HEALTH WEEK 2021

This week is Children's Mental Health Week and the theme this year is 'Express Yourself'. Being able to express yourself is not about being the best at something or putting on a performance for others; it is about finding a way to show who you are and how you see the world.

Each day, there will be short activities posted which will support this and some lessons will have this theme as their main focus.  These sessions may also replace some of our usual routines.

Assembly - Express Yourself

Children's Mental Health Week

Live at 9am, but can be accessed any time after.

During the assembly, BAFTA Kids will also be launching their annual Young Presenter Competition.  More information is available on the BAFTA website.

Spellings

Spend some time today practising your spellings. If you are looking for a new way to practise, try the website below. You can enter 4 words that you need to learn and then complete one of the activities.

English

L.O. To use fronted adverbials

This should be a reminder for you!

Watch the video below to remind yourself what a fronted adverbial is and also how to write them correctly using commas.

Then, head over to the padlet to practise writing fronted adverbials. I will be online approving posts throughout the morning. Don't worry if you can't make it during this time, as I will check back throughout the day. Remember to read my comments and edit your work if necessary.

If you would like more practise follow the link to Espresso. You will need the login details, which are on my blog.

Maths

L.O. To work out the perimeter of shapes

We are starting a new unit this week: we will be working on perimeter. You can watch the Loom to get you started and then you can do either the bronze, silver or gold worksheets (or all 3!).

There is also a copy of the powerpoint to work through if you would like.

When you watch the loom, please add your name onto the comments so I can award dojo points for people engaging well with their learning.

Spanish
