Tuesday 12th May

Good morning to you all,

I hope that you all had a good day yesterday. Today you have some phonics/reading and some maths work to complete. Remember that there a range of activities for you to choose from on the Topic page too.

Mrs Davies has been busy creating a wonderful 'Health and Well Being' web page. This is fantastic for advice on how to support your child at this difficult time and provides some lovely activities to complete too. Please do have a look and remember that we are here to help if you need us for anything. You can contact us at galileo@stpauls.cheshire.sch.uk.

Plan for today...

Phonics and reading

Please watch the Set 3 Speed Sounds lesson for today. Today's sound is 'er' so the words and spellings will focus on this sound. The reading lesson starts at 10.30 and the spelling lesson follows at 10.45. The lessons are available to watch for 24 hours if you prefer to watch it at a different time of the day.

It is your second read of your chosen book today, either 'The Flying Machine' or 'Mission Marvel' (link for the ebook below). Read the book again or if you only read the book so far continue reading to the end. After reading the book complete the two activities shown at the top of the pages of the ebook. Then challenge yourself further by answering the questions at the back of the book. These can be answered orally or write the answers in your home learning book. I'm aware that both these books are quite long so it may be that you don't get all these tasks done today but do it at a speed which is right for you. I hope you enjoy the story you read.

Maths

The maths lesson today focuses on finding three quarters  Please complete lesson 3 of the PowerPoint presentation and then complete the worksheet in your home learning pack titled 'Find three quarters'. If you want additional challenge you will find the full set of worksheets below.

Topic

Look at the topic page for other ideas of what to do today.

Have a fun day. smiley
