Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

Literacy

Mrs Armstrong Boyle told us she saw monsters in our hutch! We went on a monster hunt and then read a story all about a monster called the Gruffalo.

Our independent challenge involved the children designing and thinking of super powers for their own superhero!

How can we save the peas from the slime? Writing stimulus this week.

We thought of some excellent describing words for two of our characters from Supertato this week!

We used the letters to make the words to match the pictures

Our literacy challenge this week was to use phoneme cards and sound out the picture prompts.

We looked at the picture on the card and listened for the initial sound. We put a peg on the sound we heard.

Using the letter stencils to trace round the letters to write ‘clues’.

As they formed the letters, the girls said our read write inc rhymes to go with them.

Plenty of outdoor opportunities for mark making in Drake class.
