British Values

It's VE day this week so here are a few ways that we are marking the important event.

Brunel Class wore jeans for a donation towards Genetic Disorders UK, on Jeans for Genes Day. We learned about the challenges people with genetic disorders face.

We learned about how democracy started in Ancient Greece and compared their political system with our own. We also learned about voting in the General Election

We have been looking at the different types of bullying: cyber, physical, emotional and verbal. We have committed ourselves to ‘paying it forward’ with random acts of kindness

We used the British Value of democracy to give speeches about why we should be voted onto the Student Council.

The GIFT Team led an assembly about collecting toiletries for The Wellspring, a local homeless charity, using the values of compassion and tolerance.
