Literacy activity

Hope you are all enjoying the animals topic. Today we are continuing to look at the Dear Zoo story so I've included the story power point if you'd like to re-read it and an activity sheet. I will look forward to seeing your ideas!

Maths activity

Today you are going to build on your learning from yesterday and learn how to describe position and turns. You will describe position using language such as; left, right, up and down. Today's task is practical and you will create routes. Follow the instructions on the worksheet to do this and also share the PowerPoint presentation lesson 2. Discuss the following questions:

Can you describe how this object has been turned?
What are the different directions in which this shape can be turned?
Can you describe how the shape can be moved back to its starting position?
Can you record the movement?

There's also an additional activity called 'Describe routes' if you fancy an extra challenge describing position and movement.
