Phonics

It was fantastic to see so many of you yesterday and practise some of our sounds together- you are doing so well! Today's lessons are below for you.

Set 1 speed sounds - today's sound is y

Set 1 word time

Set 1 spellings

Set 2 speed sound - today's sound is ir

Set 2 spellings

If you have completed Set 2 sounds please follow the red words 1 lesson and the hold a sentence 1 lesson.

Reading

Today we would like you to have a second read of the books you read yesterday. Again have a look at the sounds and red and green words to warm up your 'sound brains'

Choose from Ditty sheet 12 'a bash' or red ditty book 2 story 1 'Nog in the fog'

Tricky word practise

Spend a few minutes today practising your tricky words from your tricky word books. It's always good to go back over them regularly to keep them fresh in your memory. Or you might like to play a game with them by hiding them around the room and asking your child to find them and read them.

Reception maths

Today's activity is all about making pairs. Have a watch of the video and complete the activity.

Year 1 maths

Today you will be counting to 50 by making 10. There is no worksheet today but instead a chance to practise practically. Watch the video to learn more.

Afternoon topic activities

Follow the link and choose one or more of our activities. You might like to enjoy practising your breathing with our 'rainbow breaths' song - we practise rainbow breathing in school and this is a fun song to help you practise at home. We are also enjoying your ways of expressing yourself and your videos explaining this. We will share some of your ideas here as the week goes on, but here are some of the ways I like to 'express myself' - even though I'm not very good I enjoy baking and dancing!

'Express yourself'! We have received some of your videos of how you like to express yourself and what makes you feel happy. I even added a picture of me baking!

Today's story explores feeling worried - remember if you ever have a feeling that makes you feel bad always tell someone. You also might like to watch my video about feelings on our topic page. smiley
