Democracy

In class 2 we have been finding out all about democracy.

The British Parliament, like many other Parliaments around the world, is based on a system called 'democracy'.

But what exactly is democracy?

Democracy means that ordinary people have a say in what the Government does. It's a system that allows voters to decide how their country or community should be run, and who should represent them.

'Democracy is about being fair to others' Nathaniel

'It's about listening to other peoples ideas' Rose

'It means letting people know what is fair and kind' Isabelle

'Democracy is about voting' Eva

''If you don't have democracy then it's not fair!' Taidgh

'It's about people listening to your ideas' Alfie
