Art

Our creative challenge this week was to paint a symmetrical butterfly after reading the story Monkey Puzzle.

We looked carefully at the fruit and then drew and painted them.

Getting creative we explored lines and swirls with chalks outside

We made sock snowmen. It was tricky to fill it with rice!

We looked at Claude Monet’s Water Lilies painting. We used an oil pastel to draw the bridge and then water coloured the pond and trees. We will add lily pads and detail once the background is dry.

We used the nexus boards to make pictures

We looked carefully at Van Gogh’s, Starry Night painting. We tried to create the same effect in our own starry night paintings.
