Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

PSHE- We began the year in September by thinking about the goals we wanted to achieve. Noah T said "I want to get better at reading", Albert said "I want to get better at drawing people."

New Goals- We began the year in September by thinking about the goals we wanted to achieve. Noah T said "I want to get better at reading". Albert said "I want to get better at drawing people."

Friendship- We read 'Meesha Makes Friends' by Tom Percival and thought about what qualities were required to make a good friend. The children listed such qualities as listening, showing kindness, being fun and caring.

Growth Mindset-We began our lesson by discussing what a 'Growth Mindset' is and how it is important to persevere at something even when we find it tricky. During our circle time the children then shared something that they could do and something that they couldn't do yet. We discussed the power of that word 'yet' and we should began to use it instead of saying the words 'I can't'.
