Today we have been using part, part, whole diagrams to help us practise our number bonds to 10!
Reception have been doing measuring in Maths. We have explored different types of measuring equipment and then started measuring dinosaurs with measuring blocks.
We looked at the composition of 10. We explored how to make it using cubes of 2 different colours and 2 pics of numicon. We identified the number bonds to 10.
We have explored the composition of 9 using numicon and tens frames. We had a go at writing the associated number sentence.
Today, reception started learning about time. We discussed what activities we do in the different times of the day, we then started to familiarise ourselves with the day and of the week.
Today in maths, reception have been learning about height and breadth. We practised making long, short, wide and narrow snakes and compared them with our friends. We then started measuring our snakes to see how long they are.
Year 1s have been doing addition. We have been practicing writing our calculations on whiteboards.
We practiced our pairing skills by playing match the cards in Maths!
We learnt about partitioning numbers and practiced writing number sentences today!
In maths, reception have been learning about pairing objects. We played a pairing game while been blindfolded to see if we could feel the pairs.
We have been exploring capacity this week!
