Aspire not to have more but to be more – St Oscar Romero

Monday 22nd June- Friday 26th June

Hello and welcome to our topic activities for this week! We have really enjoyed seeing your pictures of the activities you have completed and also some other animal themed activities, role play and creative things you have made so a big thank you for sharing these with us! smiley We hope once again you enjoy choosing from theses activities to deepen your learning of our 'walking through the jungle' topic! Enjoy and don't forget to share on the school blog, or class email or Tapestry your work!

Understanding the world - identifying animals

This week we will look at the similarities and differences between some fish and amphibians. We will find out about their life cycles and learn to describe them in our own words. Have a look through the slides and then choose one of the challenges on the worksheets to compete, or you could make your own life cycle of a fish or amphibian and describe it to a grown up.

Understanding the world - Let's go to the jungle

This week our journey takes us to Costa Rica, where we will learn about the location, weather, plants, animals and human activity of a cloud forest. Have a look at the presentation and then choose your challenge - if you are feeling adventurous you could make your own model or picture of a cloud forest or you can simply draw and label what a cloud forest would look like.

PE: Dance

Have a look at the link below to follow and join in with Oti Mabuse as she helps us explore music and movement. Don't forget to join in with episode 10 - The jungle! Enjoy and 'get dancing!' smiley

Art activity

We are carrying on with our art journey around the world and this week we are looking at Australia! Watch the power point and have a go at one of the activities. It suggests using a cotton bud to make your dot art but any round item that can create dots can be used, eg end of a pen. It can also be done on white paper if you have no black paper at home. Have fun!
