We had an Easter egg sound hunt today! We found the eggs and then used the sounds within them to make words. It was great fun!

Celebrating World Book Day!

Today we started our new Talk 4 Writing book ‘Walking through the jungle’. We had lots of fun acting out the way the animals travelled through the jungle!

Our Talk for Writing story this half term is 'Going on a bear hunt' we have been using multi sensory resources to retell the story. It has been lots of fun coming up with lots of descriptive words.

There are plenty of mark making opportunities in Willow class. Once we have played in a rainbow area we write our names on the clipboard and pop a lollipop stick in our wallet. There are opportunities to write outside too!

In our book time this week we read 'The Pirates Next Door'. We discussed the book and the characters. We then made pirate hats and boats from newspaper. Some children made marks on notes to stick onto their hats.
