LO: To multiply 3 digits by 2 digits.

• Today, you will be pairing up, to teach each other how to use the formal written method of multiplication to multiply 3 digit numbers by 2 digit numbers.
• Year 6 have covered this before and have some tricks and tips to help us.
• Let's start with HOW TO DO IT.
• Thankfully here is a video I made earlier.

TIPS

• Ask each other questions if you are stuck.
• Ask others if you are both stuck.
• Watch the video a few times.
• Treat learning this like you would a video game - if you don't succeed the first time, pick yourself up and try again.  It's all progress and experience.
• Use those times tables tricks!

LO: To know the order of the planets and create a mnemonic to help remember

mnemonic  (the first m is silent)

• Have a go at creating some of your own mnemonics to help remember the planet order.
• When you have found one that you know you will remember, learn it and get a friend to test if it helps you remember the planet order.
• Order the planets on the sheet and write your mnemonic words underneath.
• Please name and date your work.
