Resources to download and print to help you with home learning

You will find some resources if you click on the Spring 2021 icon, but here are a few more which will hopefully help you with home learning.

Spellings

Here is a spelling grid to use for when children are practising their weekly spellings. If you prefer to use your own method to learn them then that's absolutely fine, children learn in different ways!

The Complex Sound Chart will help your children spell decodable words. Encourage them to sound words out using their Fred Fingers and use the sound chart to choose the correct sound. Just like the children do when spelling in Read, Write Inc. lessons. This resource is very good when children are completing any task which involves writing.

Complex Sound Chart

This resource is very good for children to refer to when completing any writing task. They may be able to spell some of the common exception words but it is there to help them with those that they haven't learnt yet. If you want an extra challenge during lock down why not try to learn to spell them all! smiley
