Computing

Autumn 1

This half term the children have been learning about how to stay safe online. They have learnt how to log in and log out of Purple Mash. They know how to find programmes using menus and search bars, save work and open files. They have developed confidence using the laptops. 

Autumn 2

This half term the children have learnt about the SMART rules and created online safety posters. They have also been completing a unit called 'Maze Explorers' where they have been using the Purple Mash programme called '2Go'. They have completed a range of challenges using the direction keys and have learnt lots of new vocabulary related to computer science.
